Phirima Game Ranch
Phirima Game Ranch is an unspoiled African game ranch nestled in the heart of the Kgalagadi District, or Kalahari Desert, situated in southern Botswana. Phirima is the Tswana word for “the place where the sun sets,” which is an accurate description of the spectacular sunsets we experience in this part of the Kalahari Desert. The farm is situated in the southwestern part of Botswana, about 30 kilometers from the southern boundary of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and about 80 kilometers due south of Mmabuasehube National Park. The farm boasts diverse scenery, ranging from sandy dunes, which provide for a breathtaking 360-degree view of the surrounding area, to grassy areas, pans and areas densely populated with beautiful trees. Spectacular Camel Thorn trees are also in abundance, accentuating our picturesque skyline.

WHAT WE DO?
We have introduced many new species to Phirima to increase diversity, including Giraffes, Impala, Waterbuck, Zebra, and Warthog. Some of Botswana’s more exotic wildlife has also been spotted on Phirima, such as free roaming lions, leopards, and cheetahs, who have dug their way into Phirima’s sanctuary. An incredible 32 000 hectares of some of the wildest and most biologically diverse areas of the Kalahari makes for the most fascinating and memorable encounters a guest can ask for, whether via vehicle or on walking trail. Lions, Leopard, Cheetahs and Wild Dogs are frequent visitors on our property.
